Description : (La description de cette image n'existe qu'en anglais)

Miami, the southernmost large city in the continental United States with a metropolitan population of 3.7 million, is featured in this southeast-looking, low-oblique photograph. Located in southeast Florida on Biscayne Bay (a shallow, narrow inlet of the Atlantic Ocean), Miami is a port of entry and one of the most popular and famous resorts in America. Tourism is the city’s major industry. The city is also the processing and shipping hub of a large agricultural region and a center for rebuilding and repairing aircraft. Other businesses include aluminum products, clothing, furniture and wood products, transportation equipment, machinery, stone, glass, clay, printing and publishing, fishing, electronic components, plastics, cement, and boatbuilding. Near the center of the photograph, the runways of Miami International Airport can be seen. Visible east of Miami is Miami Beach (near the center of the photograph), connected to Miami by four causeways crossing Biscayne Bay. Miami Beach is a popular year-round resort, with its world-famous Gold Coast hotel strip, palatial estates, and recreational facilities. Lying south of Miami Beach is the island of Key Biscayne, another popular resort.
